World Congress on Veterinary Education

Tuesday 25.01.2011

We are looking forward to meeting you soon at the 2nd World Congress on Veterinary Education (WCVE2011) which will be held from May 13 – 15, 2011 at VetAgro Sup, Veterinary Campus in Lyon, France.

The world’s first veterinary school was founded in Lyon, France, in 1761, shortly followed by the Alfort veterinary school, near Paris, in 1764, both by Claude Bourgelat. Consequently, 2011 will mark the 250th world anniversary of veterinary education, as well as the 250th world anniversary of the veterinary profession.
In this context, a global event has been organized, following the first World Congress on Veterinary Education which was held in October, 2009 in Paris, by the OIE.
The second edition will be devoted to a project of harmonized and adaptable education for each of the countries, which should allow the profession to answer the public health challenges of tomorrow.

Please note that the latest agenda, as well as the social events surrounding the program and further information are available on our website www.wcve2011.org should you wish to prepare yourself.

Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at contact@wcve2011.org
