Scientific Circle of Veterinary Students
Scientific Circle of Veterinary Students is an initiative of students. It has been working since it was established in 1927 (with only one short break)!
The Circle gathers people who are interested in broadening knowledge acquired during studies. Its activity depends mainly on invention, creativity and hard work of its members. Students are those who define research objectives and create appropriate sections according to their own interests.
Prizes and awards achieved each year at Annual Review of Scientific Circles of Warsaw University of Life Sciences are a source of profound satisfaction for all who participate in the activity the Circle.
Specialist knowledge, organizational skills and experience in scientific work acquired in the Circle often appear beneficial in future career.

History of Scientific Circle of Veterinary Students
History of Scientific Circle of Veterinary Students dates back to 1927, when Senate of Warsaw University, in reply to the proposal of Medical Faculty Council, established Veterinary Faculty. The first Chairman of Scientific Circle of Veterinary Students was Heliodor Różycki-Szwejkowski (later professor of pathology on Warsaw Veterinary Faculty). Until the beginning of the Second World War the function was performed by: Stanisław Kirkor, Jerzy Zuberbier, Edward Szyfelbein, Aleksander Dziżyński and Stanisław Janiszewski. The Circle was allowed to publish series of lectures, distribute scholarships and accommodations in a dormitory, even to collect money by organizing dances.
Along with the end of the Second World War the Scientific Circle of Veterinary Students was re-established. Stefan Tarczyński and then Marcin Szulc had performed the function of the Chairman since 1947 till 1953 when the Circle was closed down by communist regime. Suspension had lasted till 1956 when the new Chairman, Leon Maria Zaniewski, was elected. Since 1968 Scientific Circle of Veterinary Students has had 25 Chairmen:
